Call for Proposals

SNEB invites proposals for presentation sessions and workshops for its 2027 conference “Connecting All – Sharing Global Voices; Bridging Research & Practice; Inspiring the Next Generation” taking place virtually July 19-21, 2027.

Program proposals are now being accepted online and are due by Friday, October 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. Program acceptance notifications will be sent in December. All program proposals must be submitted by an SNEB member.

Incomplete proposals will not be considered.

Presentation Format

Sessions at the 2027 conference will fall broadly into two formats:

1. Presentation Sessions

These sessions are best suited for high-impact research presentations and keynote content intended for the full conference audience, with attendee engagement structured through a Q&A system. These sessions may last for up to one hour.

2. Interactive Workshops

Workshops will be hosted as live Zoom meetings, where attendees can be seen and heard, join breakout rooms, and participate directly with presenters and each other. Best suited for creative, innovative, interactive sessions that focus on skills-building, hands-on activities, and facilitated dialogue. Workshops may last for up to two hours.

Submission Requirements

Title

Concise, engaging, and memorable. The title should give attendees a clear sense of the session’s focus.

Session Description (to be used in conference promotional materials)

In 100 words or fewer, describe what participants will do during the session and what they will take away from it. Use short, clear sentences. This description will appear in conference promotional materials and SNEB reserves the right to edit it for length and clarity.

Learning Objectives

List three to four learning objectives that will be met through the session. Objectives should be realistic for the session format and length.

Intended Audience

Successful sessions should appeal to specific audiences. Sessions that appeal to “everyone” may lack clarity of focus.

Impacts and Takeaways

Organizers should take care that their session offers insights, tools, or connections that can be applied to the research and/or practice of session attendees.

Conference Theme Alignment

Proposed programs should incorporate or be in conversation with at least one thread of the conference theme.

Moderators and Presenters

Need to be familiar with the subject and have firsthand experience with the audience of interest.

Criteria for Acceptance

All proposals will be reviewed by the Programs Committee guided by the following questions:

  • How well does the proposed session serve SNEB members and conference attendees?
  • How clearly does the proposed session connect to the 2027 theme?
  • How effectively will the proposed session utilize the selected session format?
